Girls being a parent is such a joy, but you can't help worrying about your well being. Alexandra started to get sick Saturday night. We thought it was just a cold but the temperature kept going up and up. We controlled it with the usual, Tylenol and Motrin, but on Monday I decided to take you to the doctor to make sure you didn't have an infection. The doctor said that your ears looked pristine and that you had a virus. Later that afternoon you started to breath heavily and your temp got up to 103.9!!! I was so worried and really didn't know how sick you were. I have to say that I cried a little thinking what could this be? You were acting strange, laying on the couch not wanting to do anything, If anyone that knows you will know that this was unusual for you. I knew you were really sick. The Motrin and Tylenol were not really working. I called Ama and Opa and asked them to take Samantha with them just to make sure she will not get sick. You guys love to kiss on each other and share cups. That night around 10:30 I called the nurse line and requested for the nurse to hear your breathing, she said, she is wheezing and I will recommend you take her to the emergency room. A bit scared with her comments, dad and I took you right away. Your fever was 102.7 and after they checked you they said most likely it was a bad case of croup. There you received a breathing treatment and a steroid shot. Poor baby you were so brave, you never complained. They kept you in observation until about 1:30 a.m. The people at the St. Elizabeth hospital were very nice, they even gave you a teddy bear, some stickers and other little things to make you feel better.
Today, Wednesday, you seem to feel better. You have some cough that sounds just like a barking seal. I believe the fever is almost gone this morning you had only 99.3 and I have not given you any medicine. You are getting better and better but it got you pretty good. You had the croup before but nothing like this.

I finally finished Samantha's outfit that looks just like Alexandra. You guys look very cute together. You may not like for me to dress you alike later but I will do it now until you girls let me. I don't do it often but I really enjoy it when I do.
