Getting Ready for Los Reyes Magos

Here in Mexico the 3 Wise Men http://www.inside-mexico.com/ReyesMagos.htm bring toys to all the kids on January the 6th. The wise men are more popular than Santa Claus. Families Celebrate the holiday by taking pictures with the 3 wise men on the eve of Dia de Reyes. Hundreds of stands with los Reyes Magos pose with the kids. Now I wonder why we never question the validity of the Reyes when there were hundres of them in the same place. Today we went to la Plaza de la Revolucion to take a picture with the Reyes Magos, but Alexandra was not really interested. Part if the custum is to also buy for the kids princes or kings crowns along with wands.

The 3 wise men will drop toys or little things in the yard and at night we will break a pinata and eat Rosca de Reyes. Whom ever gets the plastic baby Jesus, will have to have a party with tamales on February the 2nd. It is a custum to dress baby Jesus that day. I have already purchased a baby Jesus and his baby clothes. So nice!
