Cooking, San Valentin, Color and cut nightmare

"What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see" Hebrews 1 1:1 NLT

Cooking

I like to cook, and since I came back from Mexico I have been trying to cook some Mexican dishes. My style of cooking is a little crazy. I look at some online recipes for the same dish and come up with sort of my own recipe.

This past week I made Mole de Olla and it turned out really good. Mole de olla is a type of beef stew the main difference on this dish is that you ad two types of dry chiles to give it a unique taste and color.

Today I made Pollo en Achiote. Achitote (or Bixa Orellana) is a type of shrub or tree where the inedible fruit's seeds are dried to make a type of cooking paste (more interesting details on the link).
For desert I made rice pudding yum!

Dia de San Valentin

We had a good time, first Alexandra attended the mommy's group Valentine Party. Mi good friend Anamaria actually watched Alexandra for me. I had to drop her of at Jump N Jive, which is a bounce house place and Samantha and I headed for the doctor. She has been having runny nose for almost a month now but this time turned green. The doctor didn't see any ear or thr infection but since the runny nose has been going on for so long, he gave her some Amoxicilin. She is much better now. Coming home Ama had done lots of house chores for me, thanks Ama. Later that day Dad and Opa brought some presents for all of us. I was also able to get my hair colored and cut which I was so glad to have the time for but it turned out to be a bad experience...

Color and Cut nightmare

It is too long of a story and honestly not Worth spending to much time on it but bottom line I tried a new place to get my hair done and it was not at all what I expected. First I asked them to color my her Mahogany Brown and the first application turned out more like a really light brown, so I asked them to change it to the color strand they had showed me in the first place, it obviously wasn't red enough. The owner of the place tried to fix it so she put on my a "red" color that turned out to be more like a pink red color, I was about to die. Thankfully the next day I called and she was able to put a little bit more brown in it this time but it is still really red. And the cut? Well bad too, I have really short layers on only one side of my head, I am not sure how this happen. Even though the owner was not apologetic at all she was gracious enough to give me half of my money back. I think that is fair and I certainly wish her good luck!

Now I see what you mean about we match. Should I wear my weave the next time we see each other. Please no one would ever mistake me for your twin - they would think I was the ugly step sister. HA!
